3Word Wednesday~
fragile, rampant, tremor
The Lie
I smelled it on your breath
long before was cast
I know it was not first
nor will it be the last
rumors rampant I stood still
as other backs were turned
a fragile bond we shared
if so easy it was spurned
a tremor shakes my soul
as anger makes me weak
I choke upon the words
that I feel the need to speak
I trusted what you said
I lifted you up high
But you tossed it all away
with the utterance of a lie

Thanks for stopping by my blog today.. this week has been a busy one.. is it just me or does time seem to be going faster and faster?.. Some days seem so short.. never enough time to do all that I need to.. I thought about shutting off all of the clocks.. but I guess even that wouldn't help.. I welcome both comments and followers.. Have a great day!
Patsy

Lies are horrible, but you expressed the sense of betrayal very well.
Thanks! Amy Barlow Liberatore
Lies can really damage us...

They say there's such a thing as a white lie.At the end a lie is still a lie!!May it be blue or brown or colorless.
A truly good piece!!!
Great balance of emotion/language, great line breaks made it even better, more spare.
Sad how a lie can rip so easily and cause pain.
Love the way you wove these words
Thanks for sharing with One Shot
I agree with the faster and faster (make it stop)
Have a lovely weekend
