"I believe our flag is more than just cloth and ink. It is a universally recognized symbol that stands for liberty, and freedom. It is the history of our nation, and it's marked by the blood of those who died defending it. "

Happy Flag Day!..
There are many different opinions
on rather the colors in the American flag represent anything at all.. maybe they were the only colors Betsy Ross had in her stash at the time.. I have read a half gazillion flag facts sights today and there are many different opinions on why those colors were chosen.. including the idea that Betsy had some cloth left over from tailoring a fancy outfit for George Washington... Popular belief and a more logical idea to me is that they represent the same things as the colors in the Great Seal. ... White signifying purity and innocence.. Red for hardiness and valor.. and Blue to represent vigilance, perseverance and justice..

Cute. Very well done.
Very cute and compact little poem. A nice glimpse into a very happy moment. Insanity is overated. Don't worry about that. :)
I like the house!
I commend you for taking the effort to research the meanings stitched into our flag. I've never seen the definitive answers on why the colors were chosen either.
