Wednesday.. Hot and Dry.. Wasn't Rain Promised?

"A rustle in the wind reminds us a fairy is near."  ~Author Unknown

"I believe in everything until it's disproved. So I believe in fairies, the myths, dragons. It all exists, even if it's in your mind. Who's to say that dreams and nightmares aren't as real as the here and now?"  ~John Lennon

"The iron tongue of midnight hath told twelve; lovers to bed; 'tis almost fairy time. " ~William Shakespeare

One Shot Wednesday- week #50

Midsummer's Eve- ( a fairy tale)

little people prance
flickering fireflies join in
vagabond prince twirls

lads bound by bright thread
mortal fortitude foiled
by saffron's sweet grip

vivid mirages
arrive astride spotted fawns
good fortune bestowed

preferring sunlight
giant slumbers in grass ring
toadstools surrounding

It's a good job I believe in the 'little people' otherwise I could not have enjoyed your poem so much.
