Today is my Birthday.. Today I am fifty years old.. someone asked me last night if I felt fifty.. I told the truth when I said "Oh No!"... the truth is that some days I feel fifteen and girlish and other days I feel at least a hundred and old and tired.....I am not sure what it is supposed to feel like to be fifty..I asked Dave and he said it felt just like always to him.. I have to agree.. Today felt just like always to me too..

this is me with my Mom.. almost fifty years ago... Me and Mom sure have aged since then!

Unconscious Mutterings

I say ... and you think ... ?

1. MacGyver ::~ Duct tape.. he could fix anything or build a bomb or escape from any where as long as he had duct tape..
   
2. Garter ::~ snake.. one of my brothers was known years ago as the garter snake on the CB radio..of course I'm sure it had some hidden meaning that I was too young to know..
   
3. Wedge ::~ Are they trying to drive a wedge between you and I?
   
4. Inches ::~ twelve inches makes you the ruler..
   
5. Code ::~ ancay ouyay eadray histay? Itay isay igpay atinlay!
   
6. Water ::cool and clear... running.. waterfall.. hot water.. neck deep in dirty water..
   
7. Running ::~ and staving.. please set down!
   
8. Curly ::~ hair.. fries.. curly stooge...
   
9. Turkey ::~ sandwich.. light on the mustard.. medium on the mayo... Yum Yum!
   
10. Stupor ::~ a drunken stupor.. Hmm I did that at 40.. it also means dazed and forgetful.. hopefully that has a long time before it settles over me..

Unconscious Mutterings

Free association is described as a "psychonanalytic procedure in which a person is encouraged to give free rein to his or her thoughts and feelings, verbalizing whatever comes into the mind without monitoring its content." Over time, this technique is supposed to help bring forth repressed thoughts and feelings that the person can then work through to gain a better sense of self.

That's an admirable goal, but for the purposes of this exercise, we're just hoping to have a little fun with the technique. Each week I'll post ten words to which you can respond to with the first thing that comes to mind.

Week 350

~~ Who is at my door??..someone is ringing my chicken.. ( I have a metal chicken bell!)

~~ times two is ten.. five more minutes.. these are my Mutterings.. you could do your own if you don't like mine!

~~ yes I am! thank you for noticing! I work hard at being me!

5. Disgust ::
~~goats drink their own pee.. Glad I'm not a goat! Hmmmm... there is no ING on that word..still that goat thing would disgust anyone?!

6. Tempest ::
~~ In a rain-barrel..Shakespeare's finest hour..

7. Bummer ::
~~ Blue lights.. damn!

8. Brim ::
~~ full to and running over.. where's the mop?? It's the toilet again..
( maybe this should go with disgust!)

9. Hose ::
~~ there's a kink in there..

10. Lollipop ::
7856 licks to get to the middle!! No wait that's a tootsie roll pop.. ahh never mind.. lollipops are what the munchkins ate right? Those big round saucer sized suckers?
they look better than they taste..
