UPDATE- Did you make a what is it guess yesterday? ? I did have a few guesses and some of them were very close..  thanks for playing along and keep looking for my next what is it.. Look close at the following photo.. this is where you find yesterday's  What is it.. I personally couldn't swear to what this thing is called.. I was told by a friend..  who knows a lot of stuff..  that it is called a guard rail turnbuckle.. I would just call it a nut and a bolt with lots of flat washers..   But whatever it is called..  it's function is to hold the guardrail on bridges tight.. thanks for stopping by my blog.. I welcome both comments and followers.. Have a great night..

I bet all of you have passed one of these recently without even noticing it.. Have you seen one of these things lately.. someone out there knows what this is.. is that someone you?.. Please take a guess at what this thing is.. WHAT IS IT?? I will update tomorrow with the truth about what it is..

she whispers- what about the child
kissing her silently  he hears the trap slam shut

Well, it's serves the same purpose as a turnbuckle, but it's not really the same thing...a turnbuckle is a real kind of hardware with a bolt on each end and a piece in the middle used to space them out. The only reason I know this is because I was in the sign business for 20 years, and had the *cough* joy of working with them on a regular basis.
