Happy Birthday Me! ~ And some Rambling..

"Youth is a wonderful thing. What a crime to waste it on children." ~George Bernard Shaw

"In childhood, we yearn to be grown-ups. In old age, we yearn to be kids. It just seems that all would be wonderful if
we didn't have to celebrate our birthdays in chronological order."
~Robert Brault

"Just remember, once you're over the hill you begin to pick up speed." ~Charles Schulz

Today is my Birthday.. Today I am fifty years old.. someone asked me last night if I felt fifty.. I told the truth when I said "Oh No!"... the truth is that some days I feel fifteen and girlish and other days I feel at least a hundred and old and tired.....I am not sure what it is supposed to feel like to be fifty..I asked Dave and he said it felt just like always to him.. I have to agree.. Today felt just like always to me too..

this is me with my Mom.. almost fifty years ago... Me and Mom sure have aged since then!

Rain .. Rain.. Rain.. COLD rain!

"The good writer seems to be writing about himself, but has his eye always on that thread of the Universe which runs through himself and all things." ~Ralph Waldo Emerson

"Wait until you are hungry to say something, until there is an aching in you to speak."
~Natalie Goldberg

"Don't threaten me with love, baby. Let's just go walking in the rain." ~ Billie Holiday

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It has rained and rained all day.. I have piddled around inside.. pickling quail eggs and besides that doing not much of anything all day.. I went through some old pictures..I have planned the foods I will carry to the poetry club feast tomorrow night and even wrote the poems that they assigned for us to bring with us.. I even wrote a poem for my class on AllPoetry.com.. I had waited and waited for months before writing this poem.. It wasn't that I didn't understand the concept.. I just couldn't decide on two words..
Acrosteleostics~ the third form of acrostic poem.. two words or two messages..one highlighted on each side..
I know the words love and hate have been used poetically for centuries.. I racked my brain to think of different words.. finally today as the rain fell outside I just wrote the poem that came to me when I first got the assignment.. I like it.. I hope you do to.. have a great day!
It's Friday Night? Where has This Week Gone?
"Only Robinson Crusoe had everything done by Friday." ~Author Unknown
“There will be a rain dance Friday night, weather permitting”~ George Carlin
"And if you ask again whether there is any justice in the world, you'll have to be satisfied with the reply: Not for the time being; at any rate, not up to this Friday." ~ Alfred Doblin
This week's challenge:
'
Vehicle'.
I just loved this truck we saw recently at a car show.. If I could have any vehicle I wanted.. this truck would surely be one I would consider owning.. I have heard that they won't run very fast but that would be ok with me.. In case you were wondering.. that note on the door says.. Look but don't you dare touch!
1. We need _a million dollars and then I'll be set to go shopping for the holidays!
2. I saw and old friend today_ and it made me smile.
3. If you want _to be a whiner go ahead.. just be warned.. I like whiners about as much as I like smart asses__.
4. ___Why?
_ because _I said so.. that's why.. Why? gets you up there with those folks listed in number 3__.
5. Massachusetts has a proposed 5% sales tax on elective cosmetic surgery; I think _they should charge more than that.. people quit changing yourself around so much.. a new nose will NOT make you happy_.
6. _Love and fa
mily_ makes for a happy holiday. Unless of course you have a million dollars.. then you can rent both of those..
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to _being ill and cranky_, tomorrow my plans include _nothing yet.. I'm ill and cranky.. I can't plan .._ and Sunday, I want to _make some pictures .. play the sims.. write some poems... who knows.. Y'all know I can't plan while I'm ill and cranky_!
~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~

Yes it is Friday.. It seems like this year has flown by.. It is almost time again for the Holidays.. I looked around in the store yesterday and prices on everything were high.. The plastic faced Santa was smiling and dancing over the imported ornaments that are most likely made from lead and priced like gold... I didn't buy any new ornaments for my old tree.. I will be making my own if I get new ones this year... I walked down the toy aisle.. A pair of pants for a barbie costs almost as much as a pair for the little girl that plays with her would..and Barbie no longer holds the most space on the doll aisle.. I was flabbergasted that they have so many more expensive fashion dolls now.. from Hannah Montana to the new teenage vampires.. Barbie is getting crowded out by movie and television show dolls.. and all the baby dolls do something.. poop or spell or play eye spy..I wonder where they hid the big.. soft and cuddly. do nothing.. use you imagination to play with me.. baby dolls? Boy toys were no better.. when did water guns start costing twenty five dollars??.. and Model cars at least fifteen.. lego's cost a fortune.. Even a cheap coloring book was nearly five dollars..and most of them more than that... And why can't you buy just a plain old coloring book with pictures of dogs and cats and children and normal everyday stuff??.. Every single coloring book they had was associated with a television show or a kids movie.. I wanted to color a simple picture.. not cars from the movie with the same name nor transformers.. I didn't want to color animals from the ice age nor a walking talking sponge.. I just wanted to color a little girl or boy or a horse.. something simple and normal.. or I can't imagine how I ever survived the holidays when my kids were small.. or how they did.. I wonder if they felt deprived when they opened little trucks and cars or warm and fuzzy bears?.. I am almost ashamed that Em's Barbies had to wear dresses and tiny sweaters that I crocheted for them instead of the expensive ones that her Friends dressed their dolls in.. I am glad that my children survived their life of deprivation with me.. I would never spend eighteen dollars for a dolls outfit nor sixty five dollars for a robot dog that dances to the I-pod music that can be played through him.. I guess that I am a scrooge.. I haven't bought any Christmas presents yet this year.. I know I have to make a start somewhere.. I did buy a box of envelopes and a package of card stock.. I have spent most of today thinking that maybe this year I'll just make some cute and funny cards with my computer and stuff those along with a few dollars into those brand new plain white envelopes.. I won't need a list.. I won't have to worry about rather things fit or rather the color is right.. I won't have to try and remember who likes chocolate and who likes life savers.. and if I hang the envelopes on the old tree till I get ready to mail them I won't even need any new ornaments.. a big package of candy canes and a book of stamps to mail the envelopes to the children who live far away and I will be all set.. The more I think about it the more I like it.. I am feeling better about the holidays already.. I have my video's almost ready to burn for my siblings and I have only to print some goofy folding papers to hide a piece of money in for the kids.. Wow I guess I have all of my holiday shopping done.. I won't have to go to the mall.. I hate the mall and was dreading that shopping trip.. Maybe I'll stop being Ill and cranky by tomorrow... do you think??? No... Probably not!.. I guess I can't just stop being me.... :~} ! Have a wonderful night!

Three for Thursday... Musical!

"I don't care much about music. What I like is sounds." ~ Dizzy Gillespie

"If you look deep enough you will see music; the heart of nature being everywhere music."
~ Thomas Carlyle

"You are the music while the music lasts." ~ T.S. Eliot

This weeks Thursday Challenge is Music..

~ "MUSIC" (Guitar, Playing an Instrument, Things that make sounds, iPods, Sheet Music, Noisy Things,...)

#1-}

Maya plays a kazoo on the Plaza in Santa Fe.. New Mexico! We danced and sang .. Drank coffee and watched a bull dog leap from his masters.. rainbow striped.. boxer brief.. clad butt... Oh what fun.. I miss the plaza!

#2-}

Mason plays music on recycled brake drums and rotors and on a twisting turning set of pipes at the Children's Museum in New Mexico... I love their outside musical instrument center.. Made from all recycled parts they have giant wind chimes and twisting pipes and boards and many many musical noisy things..

#3-}

Listening to the music of night birds outside my window... I think of all the ways to make music.. singing... laughing... drumming.... shaking a dried gourd.. The howl of a dog accompanying a siren.. the creak of old bones when I get up and around... a baby's breathing is the sweetest music I know of and Dave's quiet snores is the music I listen to the most.. Where do you find music? I find music everyday.. somewhere.. For me.. the best music is the simple music of everyday life! Have a wonderful.. musical day!

Fishing in the Rain! and Three Words!

"An angler is a man who spends rainy days sitting around on the muddy banks of rivers doing nothing because his wife won't let him do it at home." ~Author Unknown

"If people concentrated on the really im
portant things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles." ~Doug Larson

"We ask a simple question
And that is all we wish:
Are fishermen all liars?

Or do only liars fish?"
~William Sherwood Fox

The Lens Day Challenge for this week is Rain.

This is my great-niece.. Dori.. holding up her very first fish.. if you look carefully you can see the raindrops falling softly across the surface of the water.. Decked out in her flowery galoshes she doesn't seem to mind the rain and in fact seeing her beautiful smile leads me to believe that she is rather proud of her fishing skills.

Surprise Surprise.. It's Weird Wednesday!!

"I think I 'turn off' women. I've a kind of a weird personality. Women may think that I'm a mess."
~ Ed O'Neill

"I think I could drink my own blood. Is that weird? " ~ Jessica Biel

"I think in a weird way that the entertainment industry is strangely more brutally honest than any other. " ~ Donal Logue

Weird facts that happen to be true!

1-) During your lifetime, you will produce enough saliva to fill two swimming pools... ( are we talking real swimming pools or just those little plastic Kiddie pools that are more like puddles of water?? People I have got to tell you that either way.. That is a lot of slobber ... and though I am told that it is normal.. It still sounds nasty to me!! )

2-) Cats are never mentioned in the Bible... ( I looked this up and searched to be sure.. the word Lion is mentioned and that is a type of cat but not a tame house cat.. some believe that cats were thought to be evil creatures and guardians of the underworld.. of course many modern words weren't there either.. like skunk and ferret and elbow... on the other hand the word Unicorn is found in the Bible..) Click here to to look at this for yourself!

3-) The Ramses brand condom is named after the great pharaoh Ramses II who fathered over 160 children... ( someone should have given him a box of condoms or even a few boxes.... How many wives or concubines did this rascal have?.. he was known to be a powerful and wealthy fellow who loved to build elaborate monuments and temples..I guess he did those building things when he rested from making children with his huge harem of wives..)

I haven't done the Weird Wednesday questions for a few weeks.. several people have sent me word that they missed them and wished I would start back with the weird questions.. I think these people just enjoyed laughing at me.. But I enjoy making others laugh so here we go with a few weird questions for tonight!...

1-}~ If you could instantly.. magically.. learn to play any one musical instrument extremely well, which one would you choose? ~ Wow did you read my blog last night and know I want to learn to play an instrument? What if I wanted to learn to play two pretty good or three a little less good? Could I do that instead? What about those people who for some weird reason can play any musical instrument they pick up? Do you know any of those folks? I do.. If I could only choose one I would choose guitar and then I would sit here and wait for Dave and when he walked in I'd jump up and play like a fool.. he would be standing there looking at me all weird.. I tried to play when I was younger and even taught myself a few chords... Dave plays a little bit by ear.. He plays a few instruments.. a little.. by ear.. My ear is crazy.. it doesn't hear things right.. If I played by ear it would come out sounding deep and dark and just plain weird..

2-}~ If you were told you had to call your very best lovers.. past.. present and future.. right now or be killed.. who would you call and what would you say to them? ~ Do you really think I am weird enough to tell you about my sex life... past..present or future? This is one of those trick questions that can get a person who is weird enough to answer it into hot water.. who would kill to know about my sex life?.. they must be truly weird.. and what makes you think I would allow you to hear me whisper sweet nothings to my lovers??.. Let me just say that Dave doesn't have time to accept three phone calls in a row.. he is way too busy working right now!! Besides.. the place he works has become all weird and implemented a new anti cell phone policy.. ( I do have to be weird and ask this question? How am I to know ahead of time who my future best lover will be? I am guessing that Dave and I will be together till one of us is no more.. but in all honesty I can't KNOW that to be a fact.. Let me just say that I really thought this question was weird.. )

3-}~ Have you ever tried to find the end of a rainbow? How far did you follow it and what did you find there? ~ Wow we really are weird tonight aren't we? What if i said I followed one once and found a bucket of gold? I did follow a rainbow once though.. Dave and I had just got married and we had gone to the roadside dumpsters that we used to have around here.. He had unloaded a huge load of garbage and we were discussing rather or not we wanted to bring home a perfectly good sofa that had been left there.. (yes we were weird!) All of a sudden there came a downpour and we ran for the van.. yelling for the kids to load up.. by the time we all got into the old van and got seat-belts on.. the sudden shower was gone and stretched across the sky was the most beautiful and vibrant rainbow I had ever seen.. the children were oohing and aahing from the back seats and Dave whispered... " I am following that.." we drove for miles and miles turning whatever way we needed to to follow the beautiful arch.. eventually realizing that we had driven in a series of circles and were almost back to the dumpster sight.. Just as we pulled over at the dumpster the rainbow vanished.. leaving us to wonder if we had been part of some weird phenomenon.. I don't know what we thought we would find at the end of the rainbow but we did indeed try to follow it to the end.. That was a long time ago.. we were younger and have six kids living here with us.. maybe we were just crazy.. maybe the weird old van had gas fumes that made us act weird.. I don't know.. we sat there silent.. every one of us flabbergasted for a few minutes.. finally we climbed out of the van and resumed our discussion about the couch.. walking back to where we thought it waited on us we realized that it was gone.. not only did we not find riches at the end of the rainbow but we missed out on a pretty good sofa too...

That's my three weird answers to the three weird questions for today! I hope you have enjoyed my return to weird question Wednesday.. Do you have a weird question for me? If you do leave it ..or them if you have more than one... as a comment and I will answer them in my next Weird Question Wednesday post!
Have a good night!

Ten On Tuesday!

"In nine cases out of ten, a woman had better show more affection than she feels."
~ Aristotle

"Life is ten percent what happens to you and ninety percent how you respond to it."
~ Lou Holtz

"One enemy can do more hurt than ten friends can do good." ~ Jonathan Swift

Ten On Tuesday tonight would like for us to list....

Ten Things You wish You knew how to do!

1-) drive a stick shift~ Dave has owned several stick shift vehicles.. I used to drive a bobcat that was stick.. how did I forget?

2-) cut hair~ Dave and I both need a trim right now.. think of all the money I could save if I could learn this..

3-) train a pig~ Don't you think Pork chop would make a good trained pig.. maybe even a movie star pig.. If she was a movie star could I spend her money?

4-) build a log cabin~ I want a real one hand made not from a kit.. I had a log barn for my horses once at a house I rented.. I personally think Dave and I could do this..

5-) fix a roof~ yes fix a roof.. my roof.. and any other roof that needs fixing.. I think they make good money at that job.. In fact roof repair is expensive as the devil..

6-) play a musical instrument~ I can play the radio but that doesn't really count.. I want to really play something and make beautiful music..

7-) read people's evil minds~ I see the evil looks some folks toss my way.. actually I have a good idea of the thoughts too.. oh well.. can one be trained to read minds?

8-) speak other languages~ pig Latin and double Chinese aside.. I would love to learn some other languages..I'm pretty sure the curse words that I learned in french wouldn't get me very far either.. I have some Spanish disks maybe I'll teach me that!

9-) cook on a wood stove~ I have done this and burned some stuff.. I want a real antique wood cook stove and then learn how to actually use it.. how to regulate the heat so as not to burn up the bread!

10-) make life easier for my kids and Grand-kids.. this is a hard one.. there really is no easy in life today.. Maybe once I train my pig and learn to do roof repairs I can use my fortune I gather from these things to make a easy life for my children.. wow!! I hope they aren't holding their breath until then.. but if I do learn how to get rich.. I will definitely share the wealth..

That's my list for tonight of ten things I wish I knew how to do.. Have a great night!
Patsy

It is Tuesday and What Do I Have Here??

"Quicksilver is used for many purposes; without it, neither silver nor brass can be properly gilt."
~ Marcus V. Pollio

"Some minds improve by travel, others, rather, resemble copper wire, or brass, which get the narrower by going farther." ~ Thomas Hood

"The finest workers in stone are not copper or steel tools, but the gentle touches of air and water working at their leisure with a liberal allowance of time." ~ Henry David Thoreau

WHAT IS THAT THING???
First with the lid on.. then with the lid off and finally the stamp from the bottom of this weird little copper pot.. What in the world is it?

Tonight I have a rather odd item for you to look at and offer a guess as to what it is.. These pictures were sent to me by My best friend Deb.. She found this at a flea market and decided to buy it even though she nor her wonderful hubby Joe had any clue as to what it was.. she called me over the week-end and she and I discussed putting it on my Tuesday What is It blog just to see if any one out there could tell her what it was.... Tonight she sent these great photo's and I was excited to see one of these in this shape.. I do in fact know what it is and once many years ago I saw one used by an elderly lady that I visited every Sunday afternoon and read to in her home.... most of the ones that would be found now wouldn't be so well kept... I know that when I tell Deb tomorrow what it is that she bought she is going to look at it and say well Duh... It looks like exactly what it is.. Do you know what this item is? Have you ever seen one or maybe you even own one of these and might even still use it some times.. I will be busy trying to come up with a way to talk Deb and Joe into letting me have this one.. or maybe they will keep their eyes open for another one at the flea market... Look at it close and maybe you will be able to figure out what it is and/or what it was used for... Please offer a guess.. Deb will be delighted to find out what she bought and I will be delighted to get comments!! Thanks Deb for the Photo's and the jaunt down memory lane... Have a wonderful night!

A Moody Monday.. Whimsical Day!

"Fashion is a tyrant from which there is no deliverance; all must conform to its whimsical."
~ French Proverb

"Everybody is so rushed, they don't take time for the whimsical... the light."
~ Mark Allen

"It was just a whimsical idea that escalated when so many crazy ladies took it up."
~ Rudi Gernreich

Moody Monday challenges us today to find a photo for the wonderful mood of Whimsical...

~Whimsical~ Given to whimsy; capricious; odd; peculiar; playful; light-hearted or amusing...
Following no predictable pattern...

reading the definition of whimsical I imagined a picture of myself fitting the word perfectly.. I would also include photo's of elves and fairy god mothers and pumpkin carriages.. and knights in shining armor.. but I am all out of photo's o
f those things at the moment..and so my search
for something whimsical begins...

a zebra print cake adorned
with pink flowers... and spiraling sprigs of silver... Whimsical? Yes it is..

though he appears to have left his armor back at the castle...
I am betting that for this one special moment in time.. this young man could almost imagine himself to have been a knight... dancing with a beautiful birthday princess....we all know there is nothing more magical than a candle lit dance at your sweet sixteen party.. trees glittering with tiny white lights...and a balloon covered dance floor... very whimsical and magical indeed!!...
and perfect for a special sweet sixteen party.. Happy Birthday Lindsay!!

And finally while searching for
something whimsical I came across this fun and amusing
Photo of my youngest brother and our wonderfully whimsical nephew...
I do believe that they think they can fly...

Judging by the image on the cape I am guessing Grayson to be Spiderman... I do wonder though... what hero would Reuben be??

Life is hard.. we work and work and fight daily to make ends meet.. sometimes we need a little whimsy.. a little absurd.. a little fun.. if the whimsical comes your way.. even if just for a minute.. enjoy it! Step away from the daily grind and enjoy a moment of pure whimsical fun.. Have a wonderful day!

“Writer's block is the greatest side effect of boredom”~ Jason Zebehazy

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It appears that there is a rumor going around that I am suffering from the dreaded terrible ailment that has been known to attack writers... writers block.... Let me thank you for your concern and your very lovely flood of emails.. thanks also for the titles and the word lists and all the wonderful prompts that I have been gifted with this week.. I will eventually make poems or stories from your word lists and will even post them here... I am perfectly fine and am not suffering from writers block... I reckon it could erupt from the sky and cover me in a black and mindless void at any second..( I don't really think that!).. but so far it has never held me in it's grasp.. there have been times when I didn't want to write anything and to have forced myself would have made me write something weird..or even weirder than normal..and there have been times..like this past week.. when I was completely wrapped up in something else that I wanted to get finished up with.. If I am suffering from anything this week it would be extreme wrist weariness and multi-childhood-memory overload...Let me explain...
I am known for my love of photo's.. I adore them.. I love to get them in e-mail and I will hoard them on my computer and make scrapbook pages for my family and my friends of their great memories.. I have a huge stack of binders and when the children come to see me they will search for the binder that they might have a new page in.. I never know when the urge will strike me so I have always kept all of my pictures on my computer.. I should have learned a lesson when my first one bit the dust.. and I really should have known better after the second and third ones followed.... but I am me.. I never learned and not to long ago I got up one fine morning to another disaster.. I had been working on a photo project most of the year.. I had arranged and re- focused and cropped and flipped and straightened photo's for a whole year.. I had the entire project ready to be burned to video disks for my family for Christmas gifts.. I had also done them for my children and stepchildren... I was just waiting to get the disks.. I hate shopping.. I would have bought the blank disks when I did my yearly Christmas shopping trek next week.. and then with the blink and the flicker of a motherboard croaking all my work was gone... Many many many many.. did I even say many?? of my photo's were made with my own digital camera and are now and apparently forever gone away..
But.. Y'all knew I had a but didn't you?.. I have family who wants my gift.. They have pulled out old Photo's and new photo's and wedding photo's and children photo's and more and more and more photo's... and for the last week and a half I have relived every one's memories..weddings and birthdays.. Easters and Christmases.. and so many Halloweens.. Daddy and Davey surrounded by a million fish from the Mississippi river and Mama when she was 16 riding her bike.. I am going to be 50 in two weeks.. I am her seventh child.. that picture goes way way back..
As I look at the pictures and scan them and crop some and straighten others.. I get a sense of what life must have been like for them.. I see happiness and sometimes deep sadness in their eyes.. I feel the tingle that goes with the toss of a wedding bouquet and the shiver of fear when first holding your newborn child..From my oldest brother to my baby sister I have redone them all in just over a week.. I have spent long hours scanning and looking and searching through stacks and stacks of Photo's... I still have myself and my children to do.. we won't be hard.. I already know what pictures I want of each child and grandchild.. I will finish the project by the end of this week... I won't have some of the photo's that I wanted in there.. but I will have others that other people have allowed me to borrow and scan.. and thanks to Dave and Emily I won't have to worry about losing them again... this time Dave went out and bought me a flash drive just for my photo's and Emily showed me how to set it up and make separate folders for each of my siblings and my crowd of "children"...
No.. I am not suffering from writers block.. I am not sick.. I am tired if that counts?? I might have memory overload but I am thinking that a writer never has too many memories even if they are borrowed from someone else..... I have included an Etheree about the dreaded ailment known to afflict almost every writer at some point in time.... Writer's Block!
Have a great day!
Patsy
Writer's Block
I
Upon
You stumbled
In my Path way.
A block stopping my
Pen from forming fine words.
Creativity bound tight.
No thoughts Appearing on Paper.
I rest Atop your grayness and sing.
I then write a poem to you; Writer's Block.
Who's in a Playful Mood?
"Humanity has advanced, when it has advanced, not because it has been sober, responsible, and cautious, but because it has been playful, rebellious, and immature."~ Tom Robbins
"It is requisite for the relaxation of the mind that we make use, from time to time, of playful deeds and jokes." ~ Saint Thomas Aquinas
"Indian names were either characteristic nicknames given in a playful spirit, deed names, birth names, or such as have a religious and symbolic meaning." ~ Charles Eastman
Moody Monday has offered the Mood of Playful for today's challenge.. I am actually a very playful person.. Or at least I can be.. OK! OK! I used to BE!! I love games and am always making up my own wild and crazy games for parties.. below is the hop a mile with a beach ball game. And two of my beautiful daughters~~ (I had to update this after I was reminded that neither of these girls is actually my child... to the person who reminded me.. Bite me.. I raised one of them and the other is my daughter by marriage.. she married my son!)~~ competing to get there first.. Shoot!! I had lifesavers up there at the end of that race track.... you know you would hop a mile with a beach ball between your knees for those!!!
I also like to throw a twist into the game as in this one pictured below.. I gave two large fake needles and huge rolls of string to two of my sisters.. their job was to sew as many people as they could onto their own string..The very last rule I stated was that if one could sew their thread through the other team leader they would take over every person on the other string.. Trudy~ pictured here in the green lei ~was busy running around getting people to sew themselves onto her string..
Martha got a few people on her string.. she was only two or three short of being tied with Trudy.. suddenly Martha's eyes lit up as it dawned on her what the last rule was.. that is Martha's red string sewn quietly and quickly through the back of Trudy's shirt.. taking ownership of Trudy's string full of people and of the game!
We laughed so much that day.. Dave cooked a ton of food that day.. I had cooked for a week and all the visitors brought more.. I really need to plan a family play day at my house soon.. Times are trying for most people these days... Most of us forget that being playful is relaxing and rejuvenating.. I know I am not nearly as playful as I used to be... I guess it could be that I am getting old.. I don't like to think about that though.. I would much rather think about all the parties I have thrown for my children over the years with crazy made up games... candy and gum prizes...hot dogs and homemade birthday cakes... and Adults and children all hopping with clothespins on the toe of their shoe and roaring with laughter as they played silly games together.. all of us kids for just a little while... Just thinking about it all almost makes me want to be playful.... try to be playful.. have fun with your children if you have them.. Maybe you can borrow some if you don't??..Share a playful laugh with your best friend.... Have a great day!!
Three Haiku..
"Being young is beautiful, but being old is comfortable."
"Get someone else to blow your horn and the sound will carry twice as far."
