standing silent in the shadow of the rock.. the meanest man I ever saw..
I wanted to go home.. he said I had to stay inside

~ Saturday Centus ~ week 28

Graveside~

The early November sunshine cast golden rays.. the sweet scents of roses and carnations filling the afternoon air.. the crowd smiled and posed for the camera.. silently I looked on in awe.. had we not suffered .. where were the tears.. I wanted to scream "pull up your pants" and "put away that camera".. but I could not.. my grief kept me mute.. a glint of light caught in his rich dark hair as he stumbled away.. a young man's hand his tender guide.. Our lives changed forever.. a circus for some.. "Did you hear" I heard.. as I turned away.. willing for now to be deaf...

Very haunting Saturday Centus. A lot of questions, unanswered for me. Good job though.

Nothing like that ol "how in the heck is the world still revolving when I'm suffering such horrible grief?" feeling...? Sucks, but I loved your writing.

Wow, you captured the essence of grief and loss so beautifully. Great job with such a difficult subject.

Well-described grief. It is unclear to me what is fact and what is fiction here. If it is fact, I am sorry for your loss.
Best wishes,

I can feel your pain in the words, even without reading the content here.

This was beautifully written. I hope some of the healing begins with the telling.

Thank you for linking.

Hugs and hope from Arizona.
