I Love a Rainy Night.. Mist Shrouds the Pines....

"To-night the winds begin to rise/ And roar from yonder dropping day:.. The last red leaf is whirled away,... The rooks are blown about the skies."
~ Lord Alfred Tennyson

"There are two ways of spreading light: to be the candle or the mirror that reflects it." ~ Edith Wharton

"A writer should write with his eyes and a painter paint with his ears."
~ Gertrude Stein

Y is for... Yard Art
and for...

The Yeoman's Tale....
The year was still young when you yielded.... yellow-bellied yet yapping.. you yodeled
Yankee-doodle.. yanking your own yarn.. smoking yarrow by the yard... yawning?.. yea.. yearning yet yelling.. yelping yesterdays yokes here and yonder.. till your youth yellowed.. then with a yeasty yell you yachted...

Troubled

old age hangs
a cheap coat..
no taint
upon family name...
plausible lies sweet
to the listening ear...
willingly blinded
starlight ..
the brightest light seen...
untroubled....
till you...

My favorite is troubled. There is alot there in a few words.

I always am in awe of people who can write an entire poem with one letter especially a letter like Y

thanks for sharing with One Shot

"willingly tainted" I never thought of putting those two together but it works.

Yard art - would not have occurred to me; my old girlfriend has quite a bit of it.
