A Grave Situation

A fellow who thought he been had
embarked on a scheme gone mad
thus accepting his loss
gave his anger a toss
and stood by their tombs looking sad.

Half Way Done for This Long Week...

" I no longer feel I'll be dead by thirty; now it's sixty. I suppose these deadlines we set for ourselves are really a way of saying we appreciate time, and want to use all of it. I'm still writing, I'm still writing poetry, I still can't explain why, and I'm still running out of time. " ~  Margaret Atwood

#2- & #3-  Diamante Poems- I have been taking another class at Allpoetry.com...  I have always liked what some people call small word poems or small word count poems.. that means writing a poem with only a few words.. Haiku .. American Sentence Poems and Hay(NA)Ku are all examples of that.. so are these Diamante Poems from my latest class...  don't let these fool you.. they are much harder than they appear..  they can be written as synonyms.. or as antonyms..  I will share one of each using the assigned word night.. enjoy!

UPDATE- Did you make a what is it guess yesterday? ? I did have a few guesses and some of them were very close..  thanks for playing along and keep looking for my next what is it.. Look close at the following photo.. this is where you find yesterday's  What is it.. I personally couldn't swear to what this thing is called.. I was told by a friend..  who knows a lot of stuff..  that it is called a guard rail turnbuckle.. I would just call it a nut and a bolt with lots of flat washers..   But whatever it is called..  it's function is to hold the guardrail on bridges tight.. thanks for stopping by my blog.. I welcome both comments and followers.. Have a great night..

What a Wonderful Storm..

" A few minutes ago every tree was excited, bowing to the roaring storm, waving, swirling, tossing their branches in glorious enthusiasm like worship. But though to the outer ear these trees are now silent, their songs never cease. " ~ John Muir
