Welcome to Wednesday Weirdness!

"By reason of weird translation, many such sets of instructions read like poems anyhow."
~ Brian Ferneyhough

"Creativity is more than just being different. Anybody can plan weird; that's easy. What's hard is to be as simple as Bach. Making the simple, awesomely simple, that's creativity."
~ Charles Mingus

"Duran always disturbs me. The guy is just weird. Before our first fight, both Duran and his wife gave my wife the finger." ~ Sugar Ray Leonard

Man I really have to tell y'all that the questions today were all a tiny bit racy for me. I simply can't shame my kids and my Mom by answering the sexual ones. My mom still carries her yard stick and I don't think my big behind could stand it today! I have gone back and chosen enough questions from other weeks to make up the difference. I reckon I'm just being weird but I wouldn't want to give my Mom or my Siblings a heart attack by my answers. My kids would disown me.. My husband might think I'm becoming kinky.. Then I'd have to bury him in the back yard. So I'll stick to the mildly hot topics.. I hope you enjoy my answers.. You can play along to by going to the Wednesday Weirdness questions sight. The link is over in the sidebar.. Please feel free to comment.. Now on to today's weird questions.

1.) If you had to either shop for your groceries in your underwear only (bra&panties or boxers/briefs/whatever) or run streaking through the mall totally naked for no less than 4 minutes, which will you pick?~ I can't actually imagine doing either.. I once ran naked.. Oh wait I can't share that.. But just satisfy yourself that I did indeed once run naked.. Now back to the question.. I could shop in my drawers I think.. The cops would come before I was finished and try to take me away.. Everyone there would have gone blind by the time the cops arrived though so no one would still be seeing me. I really don't like malls. I was in one once many years ago when a man ran through naked except for the brown bag over his face.. It was scary.. It gave me the creeps and made me feel weird! I haven't like malls since then. The security guys tackled him just as he was about to make it out the door.. he was rolling naked on the floor with that silly grocery sack covering his face.. He should have had everything else covered with brown paper too! I'm pretty sure he was a weirdo.. Do they have special places for weirdo's like him? I think they do.. and if not then I recommend that they build one!

2:) DO YOU COLLECT ANYTHING? ~This question could take all night.. I collect collections.. Including~ tea sets; dolls; books; bottles; chickens; patterns for all different crafts; shot glasses; sea shells; sharks teeth; cast iron skillets; cake pans; wind chimes; weird yard ornaments; video games; miniatures; and believe me the list goes on and on and on. I had a guests this week-end who asked me if I knew how much money I had tied up in stuff.. I laughed at him.. Most of this stuff I have had for years and years and years.. Did I say years? I have dolls that were mine when I was 4 years old.. Years and more years.. Yes I collect anything!

3:) Mashed Potatoes or Sweet Potatoes?
~ I like both .. I like Mashed potatoes with anything meaty.. Meatloaf or fried chicken.. Steak or pork chops.. I like sweet potatoes fried like french fries or baked with butter. I also love them baked and then mashed and served with melted marshmallows. Now I want some french fries... I know I'm weird.. french fries wasn't even a choice!

4:) ~Have you ever cooked dinner or any other meal naked? If not, would you? ~ I'm going to answer this and maybe just maybe no one in my family will fall down and have a fit.. Yes I have... I have done lots of things naked.. Cooking naked is not wise especially if you are frying anything at all. Grease does not care what it lands on when it pops out of a pan. It will burn stuff you forgot you had.. Cook with at least a shirt on.. Naked has it's on time and place.. My kitchen isn't the time or place.. it only took me once to figure that out.. Now the bathroom is a great place for naked.. there are lots of things to do there too; like brush your hair or read a book.. you could always bathe and dry off and put on your clothes.. I don't do laundry naked either or garden.. I think I swept naked once though..

5. In what ways, if any, are you superstitious? ~ Who me? You don't want to know all the ways I am superstitious... You will be going out the very same way you came into my house.. if you climbed in a window.. I do not care if you fall climbing out.. I can give you names for this one. You will not sweep dirt out of any of my doors after dark.. You will not wash clothes on New Years day... if a black cat runs in front of my car I will make x's for everyone riding in my car.. There are way to many for me to name them all.. yea I am a tiny bit superstitious.. I know it's a sign of weirdness.. I guess maybe I am weird!

6:) Do you look people in the eye when talking? Does it bother you when people don't make eye contact during conversation?~ I look people in the eye when I am talking to them.. If someone doesn't look me in the eye I don't trust what they are saying.. Some people look all over the place and up at the sky.. I always feel like they are making things up as they go.. After all what could they be looking at the sky for? Is there some invisible person up there helping the person tell me a story?? Who is making it up? the one telling it or the one I can't see.. floating up there somewhere? I think it's weird and it annoys me to no end!! So my answers to these two questions would be yes and yes!

7:) Have you ever faked static, loss of cell phone reception or anything else on the telephone line to get out of a conversation?~ No I haven't.. I have had it done a few times to me though when My children or at least one in particular didn't like the truth I was telling them... They will of course deny this fact although I knew it even as they pulled the stunt.. I on the other hand would simply say good by and hang up on a person if I hated what they were saying.. I wouldn't do that to my Mom.. or to one of my children I would always hear them out even if I didn't agree... I would find it just too weird to say "what? I can't hear you.. Huh? hello? hello? hello?" CLICK! But I guess it must work for some people.. Maybe they are weird!

That is it for another Weird Wednesday! Tonight's questions weren't too bad.. At least the ones I chose weren't. I did answer the naked ones too so I should get some weirdness points for those..I bet Y'all don't know that I can be delightfully weird at times. But then again I can't share all my secrets with everyone all at once.. I hope you have a wonderfully weird night!

It's Tuesday!.... Do you know what it is?

"Our lives are like a candle in the wind."~ Carl Sandburg

"The weather-cock on the church spire, though made of iron, would soon be broken by the storm-wind if it ... did not understand the noble art of turning to every wind."
~ Heinrich Heine

"A certain amount of opposition is a great help to a man. Kites rise against, not with the wind"
~ John Neal

What IS IT??

Can you guess? Do you know? Have you ever seen one before? Do you know what I am? Someone knows. Someone can guess. Who will that someone be this week?
I almost bet that you have at the very least seen one of these... Some of you may have even touched one... I have! I love them. I have chosen the quotes on wind today because one of my favorite things is to see this blowing in the wind. If you know what this is or even if you just want to offer a guess.. Please leave a comment. Tomorrow I will tell you the answer with a comment of my own. It's fun to guess and you might get it right.. I will even give you a few hints..

1:) I have been around since the beginning of time.

2:) I come in a great range of different colors and sizes.

3:) I am used in the making of fabric and jewelry.

4:) I am also used in the drying of malt and hops over a furnace during the brewing of beer.

5:)Itzhak Perlman would be nowhere without me; as would Yo-Yo Ma.

6:) You will find me in both the country and city settings.

I'm sure that someone will take just one look and know what this is. I have been told that this is also quiet tasty but I have never eaten it.. I think it would be on my personal list of Non-food items. I am sure that someone out there will know what this is with just one look. You can never tell though... I hope everyone enjoys trying to figure out what this photo is.. Please comment with your own guess. I enjoy the guesses.. I love the comments. I will be looking at the world with a whole different "eye" from now on; as I attempt to find things to post on Tuesday Blogs. Look closely at the world around you.. Enjoy the wonderful world that God created for us to enjoy! So many things and such a great circle of life. Each thing however tiny holding a special place with uses unique to that one thing... It makes me feel very small when I think of the grandness of this world! Have a great day!
Patsy

Up Date~
It is indeed the mane of a horse. A couple of you got it right.. thanks to all who visited! I decided to add the new Photo since a horses mane looks like so many other things! Have a wonderful day!

Friday's Advice For the Kids!

"You know your children are growing up when they stop asking you where they came from and refuse to tell you where they're going. "~ P.J. O'Rourke

"Your children will see what you're all about by what you live rather than what you say." ~ Wayne Dyer

"We worry about what a child will become tomorrow, yet we forget that he is someone today."
~ Stacia Tauscher

I love my children! I love all children. I have decided that from now on every Friday I will share a few words of My infinite wisdom with the "children".

I should of course clarify the term "Children". Children shall be known from now on as any person who is younger than me! It includes my own children and step-children.. it includes Grandchildren .. it includes my daughters in law... it includes younger siblings.. it includes nieces and nephews and and their offspring. It includes all the children who lived in my home for even a short spell of Mothering from me... It includes all the friends ( and enemies) of my children who have visited in my home. It includes the girls who climbed in windows at my house.. and the boys who never made it that far.. I would dare to say that the term "children", as it relates to this blog, includes just about everyone.

Each Friday I will try to share at least five facts that all young people should know. If any of you out there have a question that you would like answered as part of Friday's wisdom for the children just send it right along to me. Now with out further fan fare I will move on to Friday's Five for the kids!

1:) Life is not Fair! It was never fair.. it wasn't fair for me and it won't be fair for you either.. stop sniveling about it and move on.... if you can think of a way to fix it you will become rich and a hero for all future generations.. I will expect my share of the riches... if you can't fix it the suck it up and stop whining! I hate whiners!

2:) Adults do have eyes in the back of our heads! They even have names. They are your neighbors.. they are our friends who just happened to see you going where we told you not to. They are strangers who saw you and told someone who told their cousin who eventually told my brother!Haven't you ever heard the saying "It takes a village to raise a child"? Well it takes a village to rat one out too.. we are adults.. we have learned to work together to make the lives of children miserable!

3:) Good does not ALWAYS triumph evil! Evil doesn't play by the rules. But if good hides behind a wall with a brick in her hand and throws it and breaks evils windshield.... then Good triumphs. ~ No wait!!!! That's not right! Ah shoot who am I kidding.. Good should win out but we all know that sometimes evil wins.. I'm sticking to the good old brick throwing myself.. I'm a real good shot with a red brick...

4:) It is more important to be beautiful on the inside! My Daddy used to say that Beauty was only skin deep but that ugly was to the bone! I am going to tell y'all that I have met some truly ugly people in my life time, but only a few. I have however known some who although they were attractive to look at I soon found them to be "ugly to the bone". But even less than beautiful people can brush their hair and put on clean clothes.. no need to appear uglier than you actually are. A toothbrush applied every day has been know to help those with ugly teeth too.. What I'm saying is that even though some of us will never win a beauty pageant... we can look our best with just a little effort.. so go brush your hair and your teeth and put on a clean shirt before you go to the Wal-mart! Stop by the library on your way back.. smart is very sexy!!!

5:) Play! Have fun when you can. Simple fun is best.. (unless of course you fixed the unfairness of life.. If you did that then I have some wonderful ideas for fun... I thought NOT!) Take walks in the woods. Stand in the edge on the ocean and try to out-run the incoming waves to a certain spot on the sand. ~ ( No one will bother you while doing this.. ignore the gathering crowd.. they too are having fun watching the crazy person who is racing waves!)~ go fishing with a child even the smallest minnow will appear to be a giant when seen through their eyes.
Buy a bag of marbles and try to teach yourself how to shoot them; it's a lost art and much harder than it looks! Buy a checkerboard and visit the nursing home.. someone there has a story to tell and no one to listen. They'll beat you at checkers but you will be wiser when you leave there.(remember smart is sexy!) Swing on a swing in the park. See how high you can go. (I wouldn't recommend the covered slide though.. the fire department has enough to do without coming to cut you out of the kiddy slide!) Hop, skip, play leap frog. Playing is good for you.. It's called exercise! You're going to need to know about that when you get old and fat!

I hope you enjoy this weeks Five for the Kids on Friday! Let me know what you think of the things I put on my blog. I do listen to what everyone says. Thanks for all of those who visit here and a special thanks to those of you who actually read the blog! Have a great Friday!

Thursday? Ok I'll give You Three!

"Only amateurs say that they write for their own amusement. Writing is not an amusing occupation. It is a combination of ditch-digging, mountain-climbing, treadmill and childbirth. But amusing? Never."
~Edna Ferber

"Photography to the amateur is recreation, to the professional it is work, and hard work too, no matter how pleasurable it my be."
~Edward Weston

"Do not quit. You see, the most constant state of an artist is uncertainty. You must face confusion, self-questioning, dilemma. Only amateurs are confident ... be prepared to live with the fear of failure all your art life."
~W. O. Mitchell

1:)~ Today is the Birthday of the Worlds Greatest Athlete~ Jim Thorpe!

Fast Facts

Full Name: James Francis Thorpe
Nickname(s): Wa-tho-huck, Bright Path, Jim

Date of Birth: May 28, 1887
Place of Birth: Prague, Oklahoma
Date of Death: March 28, 1953

Occupation: Football Player, Track and Field Athlete, Baseball Player
School: Haskell Indian School (Lawrence, Kansas) Carlisle Indian School (Carlisle, Pennsylvania)
Athletic Position: Halfback
Athletic Teams/Organizations: Cleveland Indians, Oorang Indiana, Rock Island Independents, New York Giants, Canton Bulldogs and Chicago Cardinals

• He won the gold medals in the decathlon and pentathlon during the 1912 Olympic Games.

• Believe it or not, Thorpe once hit 3 home runs into 3 different states in the same game. During a semi-pro baseball game in a ballpark on the Texas-Oklahoma-Arkansas border, he hit his first homer over the left field wall with the ball landing in Oklahoma, his second homer over the right field wall into Arkansas and his third homer of the game was an inside-the-park home run in center field, which was in Texas! (Even I have a hard time believing that story~ But we all know that everything on the Internet is true! right?)

*Thorpe's Olympic wins were jeopardized in 1913 when it became known that he played two semi-professional seasons of baseball. The Olympics Committee had strict rules about Olympians receiving money for participating in professional athletics. Thorpe, who stated he played for the love of the game and not the money, was put under the microscope. It was decided that his baseball experience made him a professional athlete. His name was removed from the record books and his gold medals were taken away.
Thorpe's medals were finally restored to him posthumously in 1982. In addition, and most important to his family, his name was put back into the record books.

3:)~ 5 Minute Recipe~

Omelet Roll-ups

Egg - 1
Milk - 1 tablespoon
Oil - 1/2 tablespoon
Salt and pepper - a pinch
Grated cheese - 1 tablespoon
1 tortilla

  • Mix egg, milk, salt and pepper. Heat a pan with the oil to medium-high. Then pour in the egg, and cook for about a minute.
  • Place over the tortilla, and sprinkle on cheese
Wow how fast was that? Tasty too. Just what I needed for my late night supper. I could have added a slice of ham or some store bought bacon bits without adding any time or even chopped some things to add to the omelet with adding only a minute more.

Well there ya Go! Three for Thursday! I really did try the omelet roll ups and it was good. Of course I did have a egg fresh from my own chickens and I'm sure that anything I cooked with them would be tasty! Next time I will add some ham or a bit of Bacon bits too though. I also used a slice of pepper jack cheese because I love my food spicy! You could add whatever you like!
I hope you enjoyed your three for Thursday! I hope you have a wonderful Day!

Hey Hey; It's Weird Wednesday

"I wonder if other dogs think poodles are members of a weird religious cult.
"
~ Rita Rudner

"I'm in a weird band . We've done very well. The American Dream is alive and well."
~ Gene Simmons

"I'm one of those regular weird people." ~ Janis Joplin

Hey Hey Hey and welcome to another weird Wednesday. I have been very busy all day cleaning house and getting ready for week-end visitors. With my weird job you never know when they might call you into work and need you in "five more minutes" as they say, so I have been trying to get the house cleaned and everything ready for my guests while listening out for the phone. I always work week-ends so everything has to be done ahead. I know, I'm weird But what can I say? I am just being me! We have also been having weird weather this week. It has rained and rained and rained some more. Most of the time the rain has fallen with the sun shining.. That is always weird to me. It was really weird this week because usually when that happens you will see a rainbow. I have looked and looked.. Weirdly, I haven't spotted a rainbow this whole week.
Now on to the wild and wacky weird questions for this week!

~ Wednesday Weirdness

Questions By: Ruby Rose

1.) How easily are you insulted? Many of you will be surprised to find that I am actually very easily insulted. I take everything said to me personally. I hide that fact very well. I will make a weird remark or a joke and move away from the person who has insulted me or hurt my feelings.. Don't think I forget though.. I NEVER forget. I will stew in my own juices until one fine weird day I either get even or see someone else get you so good that I say we are even. My Daddy used to say that ~ " Everyone gets what they deserve. The sun don't shine on the same dogs back every day." I used to think that he was so weird with his sayings.. I have seen his sayings come true so many times.

2.) How often do you ****~ Whoa there Nellie! that was a question so weird even I couldn't go there. My kids would vomit.. My Mama would die a sudden death and my Daddy would spin like a top in his grave.. (if that really is possible!) I know inquiring minds want to know but I don't do the questions that make my kids sick. Sorry Y'all I know I'm weird; But I promised my mama and my kids I wouldn't make them sick. They read my blog.. I have to appear to be behaving.. !<~~( Waving at a preacher!) See I AM behaving! (Does almost behaving count?)

3.) What brand of shoes do you find to be most comfortable?Man, are y'all gonna tell me shoes come in Brands? Is Flip flop a brand? My favorite brand would be bare footed. I think maybe y'all mean like Nike or Sketches? ( I might have got sketches wrong though!) I don't actually do brands when it comes to shoes unless Avon is a brand. I love their flip flops. Mama bought them for me to celebrate when I got a new job. She understands my weirdness and knew I would love them. I wear them to work and they don't kill my feet. I do have some shoes. I don't know their brand. They were cheap. Maybe they are a store brand. I even have some boots.. they are so old.. If they ever had a brand I forgot what it was. OK, I better move on to a new question before Y'all think I am weird.

4.) What are 3 to 5 items you NEVER leave the house without? A pen , a Notebook, Thread of some kind to knit or crochet with and needles for both, scissors, and weird as it may sound a doll hiding in my purse. Pen and Paper are for writing down thoughts or quotes or maybe changes to a dress I am making for my hiding doll. I carry a small writing notebook with me everywhere. You never know when what seems to be just another weird thought will develop into a wonderful story or poem. You have to write those weird ideas down at once! Otherwise they might wander away and be lost to you. Even people with as much talent as I have to do other things sometimes.. I carry a doll and thread to make things for her with me all the time. Sometimes I also have a hat I am knitting on or another craft project as well. I guess it goes without saying that I also always carry a pretty good sized purse..

5.) Who did you look up to as you were growing up? Who do you look up to now? Y'all are really gonna think I am weird now.. when I was a teen, my Mama had a loud and bad as I hate to say it; kinda weird old lady friend. She had a great big house on main street in our town at the time.. I always thought her house was the greatest but she stayed with us for the longest time... sleeping on our couch.. There was no sneaking around with Mama Mildred in the house... None of that weird Shit.. as she called it... She cussed like a sailor. I don't think she ever uttered a sentence that wasn't filled with swear words. She had chopped off gray hair that always looked dirty to me.. her favorite shirt was lime green. She matched that with her brown double knit pants and her slide on light pink, fuzzy, bedroom shoes.. She had a kinda evil eye that she would turn on you sometimes. Making me shiver in a weird kinda way.. Lord I loved that woman.. I miss her still today. After I married she went back to her own house just long enough to sell it to the neighbor and buy herself a tiny trailer on the lake. She got a passel of dogs who she never took outside and they begot more and more nasty little dogs. Then she fell in love with some young Guy who asked to fish from her dock. Long story~ shortened... He married her.. (she had some money).. he beat her up.. she said let him go.. he left town... she never recovered.. she died..

I look up to so many people now.. My Mama.. Charlie Jackson... My Older siblings.. My younger siblings...( I could have been weird and said I looked down at y' all).. certain Friends... My children.. I love old people. I have always loved old people. They have so much to share and few who want to hear it.

6.) If you've ever been a strip club of any type, what was one of your most memorable moments? I won't lie.. I have been there.. I was invited to a club once when I was single along with a girl friend of mine. We drove all the way to Charleston thinking we had a hot date. It was a fat girl strip club.. the man who invited us was the owner... he thought we would make good dancers. He was so weird.. just because we were good dancers he thought we might somehow become fat for his club.. can you imagine?

I was also supposed to go twice to see the male strippers.. the first time My daddy found out and told me I couldn't go.. I was 25 and living in his house with my son.. I reminded him that I was 25.. he said I couldn't go..

The second time I was supposed to go with two women friends of mine.. I was all dressed up and ready to walk out the door.. I was looking good in my new jeans.. I even had on shoes... ( NO I don't know what brand!!!) Long hair straightened and shiny.. sweet smelling perfume dabbed in all the right places... Cooper came into the room and said "Mommy, please don't go to no bar where they dance.. promise me mommy!"

I still haven't seen the male strippers.. for some weird reason.. I don't think I would even care to see them now. Somehow I think I wouldn't like it.. I would find it way to weird to see a naked man dancing around.. stuff wiggling and waggling about.. Yuck that is so weird!

7.) Should prostitution be legal? Why or why not? I personally don't think it should be legal. Isn't it already legal in Nevada or is it just that there are so many there we think it's legal? It goes on everywhere in different ways. Even in small towns people trade their bodies for money or drugs. I find it sad that a person allows themselves to become a slave to a drug that will make them sell their body and even their soul for another dose. Prostitution will always exist in one form or the other.. should it be Legal? I say NO!~

I looked it up and there are legal brothels in Nevada. In Rhode Island the act of sex for money is not illegal but operating a brothel or selling sex on the street is..

Contrary to popular belief, prostitution is illegal in Las Vegas! Most of the brothels are in rural areas and not in the big cities. How weird is that???

I hope y'all have enjoyed my weird Wednesday questions this week. I only had to skip one this week. Even for a weird old Lady like me that is pretty good. I like being weird. I have been a weird old Lady for a long time now.. It would be really weird to be anything else. I hope Y'all have a wonderfully weird Wednesday!

What is it Tuesday?

"He spoke with a certain what-is-it in his voice, and I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled." ~ Plum

“Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?”~ Mary Oliver

Today I am showing you a picture. Do you know what it is? I wonder who might recognize this blossom. I will even give you a few hints. If you know what this is please leave me a comment. Even if you don't know you could offer a guess.. I'm willing to bet that someone knows. Someone can guess.. Is that someone you?

As you can see from the photo, this is a bloom. It is growing in my bucket garden. It's a beauty. It gives off a very pungent smell as I brush against it while pulling grass for the chickens. Just from the bloom you would never guess that this is food. Yes, I eat it almost every day. I eat it on bread sometimes but most of the time I use it in other dishes. I am told that the blossom is quiet tasty but I have never eaten the blossom myself. This wonderful smelly bloom will turn to seeds in a few days. They will fall to the dirt and start new plants of this wonderful healthy food.

a few facts about this plant~

1:) Known as the stinking rose.

2:) matches well with beans, beef, beets, cabbage, chicken, eggplant, fish, lamb, lentils, mushrooms, pasta, pork, potatoes, rice, shellfish, spinach, tomatoes, zucchini

3:) can be used as an antiseptic

4:) Americans alone consume more than 250 million pounds of this food each year.

5:)It is said to be an aphrodisiac..

Have I given you enough hints? Can you guess what this is? Did you already know? Have you ever grown this easy to grow food? Maybe now that you have seen mine in bloom you will plant some for your self. I won't tell you today what it is but be sure to check the comments section tomorrow to see if your guess was right. I will post the answer tomorrow as a comment. Give it a try. Make a guess. Someone out there knows what this is! Have a great day!

Another Weird Wednesday!

"Being 'weird' is one of the most best complements you could ever give someone. If no one in the world was weird, everything would be normal, and that's boring. Be different. Stand out. Be the sore thumb that got hammered a couple times by a heavy mallet. Be that sole bird that's flying in the exact opposite direction everyone else is and hasn't a clue it's winter." ~ Sarah Palermo

"People that are really very weird can get into sensitive positions and have a tremendous impact on history." ~ Dan Quayle

"Is it weird in here or is it just me?" ~ Stephen Wright

1. If your boss says, "I would like to talk to you about your Internet usage" what would your first reaction be? ~ Wow what an opening that would be.. I have kinda wanted to ask for permission to get on-line while I'm sitting there in the lobby waiting for a customer to come in or call. I haven't wanted to be told no so I have been just waiting for the right moment. They think I'm just a weird "OLD" Lady so they most likely don't think I know diddly squat about the Internet. I'm not sure they know diddly squat about the Internet. I do know they have AOL on the computer though.. I looked!.. I could offer to give him some blog time for the lodge huh? Maybe I'll use the office computer and give his Hotel a shout out on my blog!? I could maybe talk it up into an advertising scheme and get a few minutes every day. I might have to try that! They would be surprised at how well the internet and I get along... (For an Old Lady I mean!)

2. If your SO asks you "Does this make me look fat?" how do you answer? I'm gonna go out on a limb here and guess that the "SO" stands for significant other. I hate that term. I don't have a significant other. I married Mine.. He's my Husband.. We have papers on each other. I wish Y'all could see me rolling around here laughing at the very idea of Dave asking me if something makes him look fat... He is very thin. I on the other hand would be more likely to know that everything makes me look fat because I am fat. Dave lies and says I'm not fat.. I know I am.. At least plump if not truly fat.. Dave fat... what a concept .. what a weird thought! I will be laughing about this till next week...

3. What is one thing that you pay for, but resent having to do so? I am stingy.. I hate having to pay for everything. I raise my own vegetables and put them in jars. I raise chickens so I don't have to pay for eggs. I even pickle eggs... and those chickens know I'll eat them too if they don't lay.. I tell them so every day.. I call them noodle soup or pot pie if they miss a day.... I reckon if I could only pick one thing I would say the Internet. I personally think it should be free. Maybe I could work something out with my boss......

4. A day is being created in honor of you. How should we celebrate it? If you really want to honor me you should take a whole day and spend it with someone you love.. Plant something if you can... A tree would be good but I'll settle for anything green... I love flowers too but please don't buy me dead ones.. ( and yes that includes all cut flowers!) I'd rather have a living growing maybe even, blooming plant or even a package of seeds. We could call it Patsy's weird planting day and a special prize could be bestowed upon who ever chooses the strangest planter. I have tires of all sizes and the tubs from washing machines and dryers, old mop buckets, coolers, Baskets and barrels, and even a couple of freezers all growing stuff here in my home made jungle!

5. What CD or Album in your music collection do you secretly enjoy, but would be embarrassed if others heard you grooving to it? I have nothing I am embarrassed by or ashamed to have.. Not music or a book or anything at all. If I was ashamed of it I wouldn't have it.. On the other hand I do still have all my Donny Osmond albums from my teen years. I used to be good at pulling them out when My children had friends over. They would roll their eyes and drag their friends away before the albums ever got to the good songs. I might even drag down the old record player and listen to them now that I have thought of them. A little " Down by the Lazy River" and a Little " He ain't heavy; He's my Brother" might be just what I need tonight.

6. How long do you think you would last if you were a contestant on Survivor? I have often wondered that very same thing. I would never have tried before because I smoked but I haven't smoked now in so long I almost forgot that I used to. I could make fire.. yes I know a trick.. I am not afraid of hard work and I am pretty smart about plants ' I know not to eat anything that the birds don't eat..... I am also a normally well liked person... I am good with puzzles and trick questions... I am funny so that might get me a day or two extra. The bugs and snakes I wouldn't mind but it would be my luck I would be put down some where that has rats. Me and rats don't like each other. I can swim but I am not a great swimmer.. Hold on~ can I get on "Big Brother House" instead? They have peanut butter on there. I can back-stab and bull shit with the best of them.. and I bet there are no Mice in the "Big Brother House!" I might even be too plump for Survivor. I'm sure that the rag they all wear for a top is going to make me look fat! I wouldn't want to look fat on national TV now would I? Maybe I'll just pass on the contestant thing all around!

Well there you go.. I have answered all the weirdness questions for today. I personally have had a rather long and tiring day and have planned an early night. I have listened to two of my old Osmond albums and have quiet enjoyed thinking about how my children and my nieces and nephews use to consider it a terrible punishment to be made to listen to these wonderful sounds of music. I have heard music where I actually understood the words. That is a novelty in this day and age.. They also wrote songs with more than just the repetitive sounds of two or three words back then. I'm going to leave the record player out.. One of the children or grand children might happen by and I will play my records for them.. I bet they will run! How weird is that? Have a wonderful Wednesday!
