Sepia Scenes...

~ This old Photo.. that I "borrowed" from a bunch of old 8mm slides.. almost appears to be a bridge to NOWHERE.. If I had to make a guess I'd say it is the Golden Gate.. But it is not labeled.. and I have never seen the real thing... Dave's Dad.. the late Mr. George.. made a gazillion and one photo's from as far away as Alaska and sent home to his wife and children.. I guess it was his way of letting them be a part of his work travels... This one started out as a blurry black and white but I like it better in Sepia.. I honestly wouldn't want to drive across a bridge that was shrouded in Mist like this one is.. Spooky!!

~ What is it about water that makes us cast away inhibitions and in many cases.. jump right in? Even the stodgiest old fogies will walk along the edge of the

water and get their toes wet in the ocean.. ~ from the great depths of the ocean to a narrow strip of plastic hooked to a water hose.. Water will always attract

those of us who love it..

~ What fun Cooper had daring the rest of us to join him in his slip.. sliding glee at Kirstin's Birthday Party.. It was plain that many of us adults really did want to run and slip and slide.. I have it on good authority that after the oldest of us left the young adults had a blast sliding across the plastic and right out onto the wet grass....

.. Welcome to the Wednesday Wordless edition..

Thanks for stopping by my busy world today.. I rushed around trying to get things done before the rain.. Then I counted all eleven drops as they fell onto the patio.. I hope you enjoyed your visit.. Feel free to comment and please do come again! Have a great day!

Lots of people wrote about fishing. Hmmm. Your haiku was very well done.

I was at San Francisco earlier during the year. I truly love a city like that!

If this isn't the Golden Gate than it's the Mackinac Bridge in northern Michigan. Same bridge but green. I vote of the Golden Gate. All the fog is so familiar.

You said a lot with the three words in those few lines :)

Wonderful haiku...just brilliant...

And that is the Golden Gate. The pedestals are a good indicator, and the fog shrouding the upper regions are also a solid indicator. It's an iconic bridge and beautiful to see and cross in person.

I love the first shot; the mystical feel of the bridge.

Good haiku -- grinning about how so many folks wrote about fishing. :)
